I am BEYOND excited to finally be able to share with your my second collaboration with @ohayo_dk This time we have made not one but TWO Koinobori. Thanks to your amazing support on the fish we did last year we have been able to do this again and for that I am truly grateful. We hope you will love these two as much as we do. 🎏❤️🎏 The koi-fish are made from thick washi paper. Each sheet of paper is made using a secret family recipe; the paper mass consists of a mix of plants such as hibiscus flowers and mulberry bushes. This creates a unique and fabric like paper. The koi pattern is created using several layered stencils and afterwards details are carefully painted on by hand. The Japanese manufacturer is a family owned business whos traditional techniques have been honed through generations.
