There are two types of people: people who enjoy winter... and everyone else. Which one are you?! To withstand cold days and long nights, we can all probably agree that it takes some resiliency. Some are more cut out for it than others, and we've got some wildlife species with fascinating winter survival tricks. ❄️ The wood frog has organic antifreeze in their blood and can freeze solid for up to 7 months. But don't worry, it thaws in the spring! ❄️ The North American river otter has two layers of fur, a warm underlayer and a thick outer layer. They also have two eyelids, one of which is completely clear allowing it see in icy waters when closed. ❄️ The snowshoe hare gains a winter coat and trades its brown fur for a thick white fur allowing is to disappear in the snowy landscape. We can’t all be winter winners up for fun in the flurries or ready to embrace the cold. Whether you’re craving some cozy cuddles or laying on the fluff, it’s only natural!
