SHARE AND REPOST. The same sentiment has been shared over and over: we have but YEARS to make substantial changes in the ways we function as a society to stop carbon emissions. Our over dependence on oil, gas, unregulated manufacturing industries, and the destruction of natural resources is killing the planet and it’s killing us. Low income and Indigenous communities have always been the first in facing the effects of global warming; so I URGE SVA STUDENTS: walk out of your class on Earth Day THIS FRIDAY AT 1 PM, and join the indigenous student union in a series of intergenerational indigenous conversations with climate activists from Mexico, Central, and South America.
The physical teach in will be held at 209 East 23rd Street in the 3rd floor amphitheater. There’s limited seating, so use the eventbrite link in my bio to get your ticket now. For those who cannot join us in person or who are outside the SVA community, are welcome to join the conversation via zoom (no RSVP required, zoom link on the eventbrite page) so grab your friends and ur teacher and tell ur auntie to tune in and learn.
