This is my old @middleburycollege advisor @jwcason who died unexpectedly this summer. He was an incredibly smart, creative, humane, wise + funny teacher, the reason I majored in political science (!). He was genuinely curious about people, really “saw” them and treated them as his intellectual equal, people lit up in his presence. He seemed to have a really fun time doing the hard work he did. He also seemed to live well, have wide ranging passions and hobbies, and laugh a lot. He blessed many many many lives and will be so missed. I never got used to calling him “Jeff”, but anyway, thank you Jeff, for everything, and a life so well lived
