“According to my life plan, I was supposed to be a flight attendant. I loved how the ladies looked in uniform and thought it would be great to visit other countries. However, when my cousin encouraged me to become a Banker, I decided I’d give it a shot. Twenty-seven years later, it was the best advice I ever received. I started my Scotiabank story at the Scotiabank Centre Branch (Downtown, Kingston) and have now made the journey, figuratively and literally, as a Branch Manager in the West and now in the tourist mecca of Montego Bay at the Fairview Financial Centre. I enjoy helping my customers and there is nothing more satisfying than the gratitude expressed by a customer who feels that your efforts made a difference in their lives. Looking back, it would be difficult to imagine my life outside of being a ‘Scotiabanker’ and I’m happy that I was open to exploring a new career path.
