Next New York trip, I’m taking more than one day for myself because hitting all of my favorite fashion/lifestyle stores in 24 hours was impossible. I could have spent all day in @awakenewyorkclothing. It feels equal parts store and archive. The brand’s excellent (and easily wearable) collections are paired with archival items that highlight key cultural moments of NYC and the city’s iconic figures. (I contemplated asking if I could buy the April 2001 issue of XXL with @nas on the cover.) It’s a place anyone who has a deep appreciation for New York and what makes it special should visit.
