I love Easter, because mom loved Easter. People are always surprised by that, but I never equated the holiday with religion. Growing up, Easter celebrations meant showcasing art, beauty, and color. The only appropriate day for me to wear pastels😂. The competition amongst friends and family of who made the most elaborate or hilariously offensive egg or paper bag. Any excuse to gather loved ones, listen to music, and do elaborate makeups, is a day I treasure. Holidays will never be the same.
