Coming back from COVID like... When I started feeling especially tired last week I thought, “wow, I guess the third trimester really IS rough!” But then my nasal antigens lit up a home COVID test and I had a better explanation. It was pretty scary already having dyspnea from pregnancy and layering COVID on top, but I’m glad that I was fully vaccinated and boosted. Thankfully it turned out to be a mild case starting with some pharyngitis and peaking with two days of significant fatigue (the mild course of my illness was likely thanks to my previously trained immune system from the vax) despite my suppressed immunity in pregnancy.
