SKNFLUENCR IS FINALLY HERE!!! 🎉 After about a year of development, @sknfluencr is now live! This platform was made possible with the help of @GoDaddy, the world’s largest web services platform. They provided a lot of support and tools to make SKNFLUENCR happen. SKNFLUENCR is a platform + podcast that explores beauty and fashion at the intersection of race, identity, and culture. It was an idea that stemmed from the viral movement that I created, #MagandangMorenx, back in Oct 2016 to combat colorism in Filipino communities & celebrate diversity of Filipino beauty. Fashion and beauty are political. They are and always have been. No matter how much we try to create distance between them, beauty standards and fashion trends have always been intimately tied to social issues, politics, and current events. Every piece of content on @sknfluencr will aim to tackle beauty and fashion from different perspectives—race, gender, ethnicity, culture, class, and everything in between. Throughout the past year in development, GoDaddy pushed and supported me in all the right ways.
