2 years ago, my life flashed in the blink of an eye. a young, healthy, 20 something year old girl having an ischemic stroke is not something you hear about often. i’m honestly still in shock to this day.
“she’s lucky she got here when she did.”
“she’s going to need extensive speech therapy.”
“we can’t find anything that caused it.”
all of these words still intensely haunt me. there are days i’m absolutely paralyzed with anxiety, especially because we never figured out what caused this. but i can honestly say, through all the pain, panic + what ifs..i’ve never appreciated my life more than i do now. i walked out without a dent - i can walk, i can talk, i can do everything i wasn’t sure i’d ever be able to do again on 11/4/2023.
i’ve grown more than i ever thought imaginable during these past 2 years. i’ve traveled all over the world (some fav highlights included), pursued content creation full time, moved in a cozy lil home with the love of my life + have made the best memories with the best people in orlando. i’m seriously so lucky to be here and be with these people 🫶🏼
if you’re reading this - please remember to advocate for yourself + your health. listen to your body. if you know in your gut somethings wrong, don’t give up - get a second opinion, hell get a SEVENTH opinion. you know yourself better than anyone!!
thank you all for following along, i wouldn’t have ANY of this without your love + support. and also to the girl that hugged me at the jonas brothers concert last week and told me she was so glad that i’m still alive - just know i’m still crying like a baby lol 🥹😭 to more life!!! 🥂 #StrokeSurvivor
