where in the world have i been??? long story short, i accepted a full-time position at @chillhouse and have spent the past 3 weeks helping them with social media, marketing, and obviously, design! i’m still taking on as many freelance clients as i can fit in (and still struggling to figure out how to make that work, as my current clients can attest — thank you for being so patient 😅) but it has really been such a nice change of pace and addition of structure to my daily routine! p.s., let this serve as proof that there’s no shame in the game of getting a job AFTER going freelance. we always see the reverse: “quit your 9-5 and become self-employed!” there’s tons of glamorization of being self-employed on instagram. of course it’s amazing, but there 100% needs to be more conversations about how freelancing is too risky and inconsistent for people who don’t have a ton of savings as a cushion. it’s not sustainable for everyone at every stage of life, and THAT’S OKAY 👍🏼
