Need a simple dish to bring the family together? Try this ‘ancient’ favorite from my family’s archives: @Doritos Taco Salad Here’s how to make it! You’ll need the nacho cheese flavour #doritos, a pound of ground beef, #taco seasoning (@Lawry’s Restaurants brand is preferred but any good brand will do), cheese, lettuce, tomato, black olives and Catalina dressing. - Get some mixing bowls out, and cut/slice/shred the lettuce/tomatos/olives and #cheese of choice into separate bowls - Get ground beef at like 85%/15% and brown the ground with the taco seasoning *1pack of seasoning for 1lb of beef (if you find London broil on sale and ask the butcher to grind that, even better) - Break up the Doritos in the bag, but not too fine - Combine 2/3 of each ingredients together in a larger bowl (meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese, black olives) and mix in Catalina dressing - Mix in the Doritos and taste...add more Catalina if you want - The remaining 1/3 is for when everyone either wants seconds or you can separate them into @Ziploc bags and save for lunches the next day.
