Friendly reminder☝🏻🥰Changing your physicality will not heal your relationship with yourself. Let’s rediscover the true storyline that leads to confidence, starting with the inner work that gets us there. Imagine making countless attempts to be the smallest version of yourself only to be equally as unhappy and unsatisfied during each phase. Never fully present, always picking yourself apart, over-stressing about social situations and never thinking you had the “right body type” to rock anything you REALLY wanted to wear. I know what that feels like. It sucks. And the journey to physical self love and acceptance is not all flowers and rainbows. It takes work. Some of the steps that helped me (in order and all paired with movement): 💕Choose to make an active effort to start accepting (not loving) yourself in your entirety - no questions asked. 💕Open yourself up to be able to receive positive thoughts and emotions 💕Celebrate your body as a whole for what it can do for you. 💕When you’re ready, start to thank those parts of yourself you may have an opinion about. 💕Then allow the love you so often share with others to come from you and to you. Don’t fight it! & remember this is a daily practice, with ups and downs. It’s a mental health journey. You are exactly the way you were meant to be and that’s beautiful. And let’s remember that these struggles are not exclusive to one body type or physicality. You never know what people are going through so please do not discredit their struggles because they “look” a certain way. Te quiero! 💕
