“Rae RezWell is a Deaf Dominican-Canadian photographer, artist and actor. Rae is passionate about learning the arts like dancing, modeling, acting, photography and more, which has been demonstrated through a lead role she played in a short film at 10 years of age. Rae has a Creative Photography Diploma from Humber College. Her art focuses on mixed media with photography. She mostly expresses experiences from her childhood of being multi-racial as well as Deaf culture in her artwork. Rae showed her artwork, Disturbance & Indelible Marks, with Anna Leonowens Gallery's collaborators in Nova Scotia.
Jenelle Rouse is a Black Deaf body-movement artist. She has performed various shows since 2010, such as Talking Movement, Withered Tree, Perceptions II, Home: Body, Crossings, Hear, Feel, See, What! and Proud. Rouse continues to explore and experiment with different mediums to share stories without any reliance on words. In addition to her other career as a bilingual educator with a doctorate in Applied Linguistics, Rouse has been involved in a variety of arts-related sectors: Sync Canada, @VibraFusionLab, @tangled_arts, @centre3_, Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf’s Deaf Culture Centre, @BodiesinTranslation, and more, while overseeing her project, Multi-Lens."
