Bucket List Trip to Idaho City . . A quick 50-minute drive from Boise gets you to Idaho City. Idaho City was once one of the largest mining communities in the Pacific Northwest during the gold rush about 150 years ago. It now is a bit quieter than it once was, but it still has so much history to explore and fun to be had. We started the trip with a wonderful soak @thespringsid. These hot springs are developed and have an entry fee, but are well maintained and have so much to offer. A full menu for food and beverages and the option to book your own private pool. We wrapped our soak and headed to @smokejumperidaho to check into our tiny home. These tiny homes were built and decorated so well. Making you feel right at home as soon as you step foot in the door. They are positioned perfectly to be able to walk anywhere in town. We headed to dinner @trudyskitchenic, one of our personal favorites. They have a large menuto choose from and I highly recommend dessert. They make incredible pies and the huckleberry cheesecake is delicious. After dinner we headed across the street for live music and handmade cocktails at @goldminesaloon. It was a blast to sit and sing along with the locals. Headed back to our tiny home to enjoy a fire in our @solostove and watch the stars and moon come out. We woke up the next morning ready for the day and made our way to Diamond Lil’s for breakfast. This place was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Filled with so much history, a fun jukebox & good food. Bonneville Hot Springs was our final destination, and it didn’t disappoint. With a private soaking tub and many more pools by the river it makes it a great place to go and enjoy. Save this itinerary so you too can go enjoy all Idaho City has to offer!
