BUCK & MOI, the French version of my debut novel, BLACK BUCK, is out today 🎉 A homie told me that "BUCK NOIR” would have been an iller title, and I agree that it's strong, but I’m also feeling BUCK & MOI because it speaks to the double-consciousness that Darren experiences when entering the workplace, and how he has to eventually reconcile his two selves in order to live a fuller, more purpose-driven life. I also like it because it sounds intimate when you say it. As if Buck is someone you actually know.⠀ ■ ⠀ Anyway, I created this video as a way to introduce the book to French speakers.
