What invisible ropes are unnecessarily keeping you in place right now? For me it’s that I don’t have the look or skin tone of someone who Executives would turn to for coaching. It’s a rope that tugged at me in every stage of my career in corporate and now follows me into my solo entrepreneurship. My strength comes from reminding myself of my previous successes. From seeing more and more leaders of color thrive in their businesses, be appointed executive positions, and sitting at the table. From putting myself in rooms where I feel I might not be welcomed or taken seriously, and then allowing myself to be proven otherwise. Am I fully free of the rope? Not yet...but it gets thinner and thinner every time I challenge it against my new strength.
