Announcing our next micro-event in collaboration with @qwere.london and @setsetsetsetsetset! “Feeling Backward/Looking Forward: An archive exploration and zine-making workshop” “Feeling Backward/Looking Forward” will be made up of two free workshops. The first workshop will take place at SET space Woolwich on Monday the 30th of May from 7 pm to 9 pm and the second will take place on Monday the 13th of June. This first workshop will be a presentation and discussion on the forgotten queer history of South-East London. Together we will look at archival material and begin to discuss and map South East queer spaces both past and present. The second workshop will follow the contents of the first and be centred around zine-making, which will be focused on using archival material to begin to imagine the future queer SE London. The zine will be made collectively through a variety of materials, writing and collage and sent out to each participant after it has been printed. We want to remember forgotten sites and unearth histories that may have been pushed aside. These stories are the ones that have allowed us to map our queerness onto the geography of South East London today. We want to imagine and begin to realise a queer future collectively!
