I finally foraged chicken of the woods! 🐔 🧡 🍄 These edible fungi are bright orange and yellow, just as good young and moist as they are aged. It grows on oak trees in eastern North America, primarily in summer and autumn. You want to make sure you thoroughly clean the mushroom and separate the other parts. When I first moved to the East Coast, I had tried some of it and was so determined to finding it. After a few hikes, this one was found at the end of my trail.
