This is a little love letter to our old red canoe. It had been years since I got this boat out for a paddle, so this year I resolved to change that. I swept out all the cobwebs and critters that had made the underside their home (sorry bugs!), and washed away the years of neglect that had begun to fade the lovely red paint. I’d forgotten how nice it is to cruise around in the quiet of dusk. There are few places in this world that give me more peace that this little lake.
