Two weeks ago, Asheville’s River Arts District experienced catastrophic flooding due to Hurricane Helene. 70-80% of buildings were damaged, with art and livelihoods washed away. Reopening and rebuilding will take time, energy, and a lot of love, but we are a hopeful and hardworking community of artists. RAD artists have rallied together to salvage art, clean out damaged buildings, and support one another. Watch our stories to see updates from around the River Arts District.
