Headspace // 📸 @fordincolor . I’ve had one hell of a mental ride these past several months and even more in the last few days. Lots of ups and lots of downs. In a way I’m thankful because it allows you to see patterns and course correct when you see yourself going down the wrong path. I noticed i have a tendency to hyper focus on things that aren’t always as realistically accurate as we think they are. I’ve always been able to convince myself that everything will be okay and I’m proud of that but i think there’s a lot of healing in knowing when to admit that shit sucks sometimes. I use to tell myself that if i just smiled and completely ignored my negative emotions that they would just go away but the experiences I’ve been through have showed me the value in embracing the suck sometimes. Ive seen that, that gives way to healing and emotional clarity. The more we allow ourselves to feel both the positive and negative the more we become captains of our own ship. Don’t ignore yourself or pretend that the battles that go on in your head aren’t real because they’re your reality. Lean on others for support when you need to and realize that admitting that you’re not okay is a sign of strength not weakness. A huge heartfelt thank you to those that are there for me when I’m struggling and allow me to be a needy friend. I wouldn’t be me without you 🤍 . #titanbarber #barbertheory
