On the 12th of September, 2024. I was given an invitation to attend a Town hall meeting on promoting Women's Leadership through Dialouges : the 2024 elections organized by SWIDA GH with funding from the @African Women's Leaders Network (Ghana chapter). The meeting brought together women from different aspects of our society, with different views and opinions of how women should be duitly represented during and after the elections. The speakers for the day were Women and Men who are experts in their various careers and who believe that women should be part of the development and decision making process, with an addition from the organization from Persons living with disabilities who had their female president represent them and also share thier views and opinions. In my capacity as the Gender and Social Inclusion Officer for Girls Empowerment Mission - GEM GHANA, I believe that the program was a great step towards gender equality and attaining a status where women will always be included and everyone's voices will be heard. Special thanks goes to the team at SWIDA GHANA for the organization and preparation, they did a fantastic job as per usual.
