What a week. My first solo show 🤍 I made this body of work to feel better — to deal with the feelings that came with not getting to say goodbye to my grandfather before he passed. To see it be received with so much love and support has been beyond anything I could’ve imagined. I don’t have the words. Thank you to the subjects and families in LA who allowed me into their homes to document their moments of intimacy and project my own fantasies for familial affection. Shooting and sharing energy with you helped me fill the void of not being able to grieve with my own family in India. Thank you to Jordan @foureyejayy — who not only was an incredible friend to me during one of the hardest times of my life, but helped produce this show with such care and intention, talked me off countless cliffs and pushed me to present the work while the feeling was raw. This show would not have happened without him. Thank you to all the people who showed up on opening night and came to see the work in the days after.
