As you can probably tell by my expression, I had an incredible time at @smithandsonparis yesterday! So many readers came that the line stretched out the door. When I first arrived, I thought I had come to the wrong place. All of these people were there to see me?! I think I signed for around five hours and how amazing it was to meet all of you face to face, from those of you who had personal experiences to share, questions about writing, parents bringing books for their children who couldn’t be there, friends doing the same, everyone who brought me lovely art and gifts, and those who showed me photos of their cats! 😻 It was a true pleasure meeting each and every one of you, even if we couldn’t talk much because of the language barrier. You are the reason why I write books, and I’m honored that you waited so long to see me. I hope you’re all getting to rest your feet today! 😂 Huge thanks to the lovely people of @smithandsonparis , including champion bookseller Sylvie, for their tireless work ensuring this event went smoothly.
