Forte Sands - Clearwater Beach
A vacant 3.2ac site that was originally home to Fisherman’s Wharf and later Leverock’s Seafood Restaurant has hit the permits for a major vacation rental development. The waterfront parcel was last listed two years ago for a total of $27MM and when pitched to condo/resort developers concerns for construction financing were mentioned. More than likely due to the lot’s proximity to the beach and the risk of flooding.
• ‘Forte Sands’ is the name of the new 94-unit vacation rental development being proposed by Forte Development and Northside Engineering Inc. The new site plan calls for three distinct and separate buildings scattered amongst the oceanfront acreage with no walling-off effect that typically comes with single high-rise structures.
• Penthouse units span across the top 8 floors of living space, with the 10th floor being the building’s topping out point. The project contributes to a series of waterfront developments we will begin seeing across the beaches of Tampa Bay.
