Hello my loves <3 I’m officially launching Under the Sun & Moon Productions. It’s been a long time coming. I’ve only talked about this company with a few people. It might come as a surprise, or maybe not. Regardless, I hope I can touch a few hearts. If you have the audacity to be your truest, authentic self, you might feel right at home with this company. These past few months, I’ve recoiled into my shell, and it’s taken more than I can express to break out of it. I’ve heard the same story from so many: feeling lost in adulthood, especially after being out of school. And the collective fear of not really knowing what comes next. In panicking about my next steps and chasing success, I forgot why I entered film in the first place. I felt like I lost myself—my drive, my passions. That realization was devastating. Under the Sun and Moon reminded me to focus on what truly mattered—my love for my community and the power of our hearts. I don’t care how forward I sound or if people don’t believe it: but I see you, I believe in you, your voice matters because you matter to me. It might not seem believable, especially if we don’t know each other well. But I know for a fact every single one of you has a story to share, and that’s all I need to know to understand it matters. Perhaps you’re scared to share it, and maybe you’re afraid you’ll get rejected, abandoned, humiliated, betrayed, or wronged. But goddamn it, I promise you, it deserves to be heard, understood, and all the above. Someone will always connect with your experiences and feel represented by you—that’s absolute. You have a whole universe within you that wants to be shared with someone, and I want to create a safe space to protect it.
