Château Latour is one of the oldest continuous Bordeaux wine-producing properties in the Pauillac appellation with a history daring all the way back to the 14th century. A favourite of Thomas Jefferson, then minister to France, he categorised La Tour de Ségur as a vineyard of first quality in 1787. Unlike any other Bordeaux wine, it is in a unique class of its own. Château Latour has been the most consistent of the First Growth château from the Medoc for over 100 years! In 2012, Château Latour announced they would no longer be selling Château Latour as a future. 2011 was the final vintage they sold En Primeur. They began releasing their wines when ther were considered ready to drink, and the 2012 vintage was released in 2020.
