This whimsical French brooch is fantastic on so many levels. It’s a humongous pink sapphire, set by the brilliant jeweler and designer Jean Schlumberger. However, this brooch comes before the designer was tapped by @tiffanyandco, so it’s dated to the early 1950s. It was owned by Fiona Thyssen-Bornemisza, a model and socialite friend of Schlumberger’s, who was given the sapphire by her husband.
