I detest asking for help and plotted a plan to do my entire wedding all by myself because I didn’t want anyone else to have to travel all the way here then have to work. I also didn’t want to bother folk with my vision which was on a creative whim so changed quite often. Fortunately my new hubby and bonus kid are always so helpful so on the pre stuff, they had my back. We got super lucky that folk were not trying to hear what I was talking about! We got so so much support for the day! My cousins Jada and Andrea stepped up big time! Had them up early and running all over Burbank and Glendale for last minute things! The ladies of @cashmereandgoldentertainment agreed to be our DJs but our friends @jmcdeezie and Leila did so so much more from event management to styling!!!! I booked a photographer in February but the week before things got rocky. Soren was like I know just the guy and his colleague Tyrone stepped in like he has been there all along and captured our day to the finest! And my dawg @mikal_mckenzi listened to me be a bridezilla for months leading up to the day-only my real ones hear the ish that goes on in my head and this girl was getting all the scoop on my frustrations, big ideas and how “I’m not that chick Dawg that’s not what I want I’m not getting anything I want 😩😩😩”. Lol for her to arrive with a spirit of execution, a calming spirit and a crapload of vegan treats was so on time! And that’s not to mention the gazillion texts with my mom, sissies, aunties and cousins to ensure my peacock finds and DIY projects were on point! The wedding reminded me BIG TIME that I have so much support and that things always come together for the good! #WeddingMemories #TheyGotMe
