If you’ve interacted with me in the past few months, you’ve probably heard me at least mention “the gay pirate show” if not been aggressively encouraged to watch it. There are many reasons why this show is so important to me, from its kindness to the unapologetic queer joy to the incredibly healing quality it has. I’ve seen and interacted with a lot of fandom, but have never seen anything like the passion this show has inspired in fans, and never seen a cast so beautifully dedicated to those fans.
