Each year, untreated sewage is pumped into our ocean tens of thousands of times, putting the planet, people, and wildlife at risk. Our vital Marine Protected Areas – homes to countless species which are already at-risk – are not truly protected while water companies are allowed to dump vast amounts of sewage directly into them. Our ocean can’t defend itself, so we’re taking action. We’ve joined a legal case urging the UK Government to rewrite its Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plan to protect our ocean and force water companies to clean up their act.
