Many of our designs begin life as watercolours created by our founder Richard. ‘They act as a great first stage because they help me hone scale, proportion and texture as I go along,’ he says. ‘Painting in wildly contrasting colours, such as the artwork in the background, helps me to refine the design further along the process.
