NAME ANNOUNCEMENT!! Vincenzo Indigo Cruz Adragna Aka Vinny!! (Yes, it took us 11 weeks to figure this out, and yes, we totally over thought this 😜 I just really hope my boy will love his name and feel a connection to his amazing ancestors ❤️) We called our son Indigo Cruz for 9+ months while he was in my womb but then he came out and told us his name is Vinny! I mean... have you seen his full head of hair!? Such a guido!! 🇮🇹 The name Indigo came to Megan in a Spirit Baby meditation where she saw a purple-ish mist which reminded her of my Grandmother Violet. Since I was a child I had always hoped to have a little girl and name her Violet. So Megan thought calling our precious little boy Indigo would be a beautiful way to honor my amazing Grandmother. I agreed and was floored by Megs understanding of my deep bond with my Grandma Vi even though they unfortunately never had the chance to meet. 💜 His (second) middle name Cruz is meaningful as we met in Santa Cruz and in Greek, Cruz means Grace. Violet’s mother, my great grandmother, was named Grace. I have her signature from her passport tattooed on my upper arm near my heart. And for Megan, Cruz also meaning cross is significant as the cross symbolizes the intersection of heaven and earth. Our little Vinny is absolutely our heaven on earth! ✝️ While still in the hospital with Vinny we were feeling so torn about his name but we asked him if his name was Vinny and he let out his first big coo! We melted and just knew we needed to change our original plan. But it wasn’t easy as we both felt such a strong connection to the name Indigo. Ultimately we decided to add it in as a middle name. 👶🏻 Vincenzo, the Italian version of Vincent, means conquerer, overcoming obstacles or winning. Also, my great great grandfather (Grace’s father-in-law was a Vincenzo. Plus I like the connection of both Vincenzo and Violet beginning with “Vi”. With Cruz meaning Grace, his name symbolizes: Overcoming obstacles or conquering with grace! That statement defines our relationship, our fertility and our pregnancy journey to a tee! This little man is a winner. His spirit fought so hard to get here. We are so in love! 🌈
