I collaborated with @crownaffair to bring you a limited edition bookmark! (Scroll to the end for process)✨ @diannacohen first reached out to me about a year ago, telling me she liked my drawings, and asked if we could find a way to work together for Crown Affair. I was already a fan of CA at the time, and loved how every part of the brand was so intentionally designed and communicated. Those days I shared very little of my work online, and even when I did I was very reserved and afraid to show things I had made. Drawing was something I mainly did for me, to have a moment to myself, and to process the world around me (this is still the case). When I draw, time passes differently than in my regular day-to-day (but I can get into manmade constructs another... time). We hopped on a call, and talked all things drawing, Nickelodeon, and of course hair. While brainstorming, we connected the dots between Crown Affair’s mantra of “Take Your Time” and how my drawings are a reflection of that, since “taking my time” is their sole purpose. I’m excited to have my drawing on this bookmark, and I hope that beyond using it as a bookmark people will see it as a visual reminder to have a moment of silence.. however long that may take. Anyways, I am super excited about this and I hope you are too! Also, a big thank you to @sophrecio for helping make this come to life! Xx
