We're moving from B to C in our Mighty 5 journey today, and that puts us in Capitol Reef National Park. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ Capitol Reef's jagged, fin-like landscapes enthrall the imagination, but they aren't the only unexpected feature of this park. Another is the fruit! The Fruita pioneer settlement within the park is home to 100 acres of orchards and pastures that the National Park Service maintains year-round with historic cultural irrigation practices. Visitors can pick and purchase their own fruit in the harvest months. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Photo: Angie Payne
