Kaboom! I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 3 weeks at the La Jolla Playhouse, working for and with heroes of mine. I have been a huge fan of @mrjoeiconis , @georgesalazar , @jasonsweettooth , and so many others since hearing Be More Chill for the first time at 12 years old. I never thought I’d get to work alongside them, and I can’t begin to describe what an honor and privilege that was. I didn’t even know the name Hunter S. Thompson until a little over a month ago, but creating this piece of art, about such a wild, gifted, broken, beautiful, ugly, complicated person, with such an artistic and talented group has been such an incredible experience. Thank you to the La Jolla Playhouse, to every person who made this show possible, and to each person who helped push me to be here. I couldn’t be happier waking up every day and doing what I love surrounded by people who want to do the same thing. Thank you, I can’t wait to see you all again :) KABOOM!
