A sneak peek into my beautiful morning spent with this gorgeous, growing family! I arrived just before 9am to Dane waving out the window and the sun peeking out behind the clouds after a quick morning rain shower. Lee greeted me at the door with a massive hug and I immediately gave him all the credit in the world for agreeing to a 9am family photoshoot. Coffee was on and Holly was in the next room finishing up her final touches as I began setting up my gear. The coziest country playlist was playing in the background. I was ready. (Something about a coffee and a good playlist I’m telling you....) My plan for this session was to have no plans, for once. To help direct and lead the way, but only in ways that encouraged natural interaction, movement and emotion. I genuinely wanted to capture what it looked like to hang out at home and let the messy, playful, intimate moments just play out. And that they did. They laughed together, got to spend intentional time with each other, made a mess in the kitchen, baked, cooked and ate berry pancakes, played on the floor, snuggled in essentially every room of their home and I even managed to successfully dodge a few forks and unidentified flying objects that came my way mid shoot 🤣 (we have confirmed D is in his throwing stage) What I love about these sessions is they are always such solid reminders to appreciate and document the little, everyday things, to try to be present with the people you love and the time you do have together and to remember that you cannot ever get these moments back. ♥️ Photos coming soon 💫
