Even before fleeing Afghanistan, I was playing football. Determined to prove herself and rise above the stress of balancing family life with school, the aspiring defender joined a football educational project that helps asylum seekers and refugees in 2018, and won second place in an annual tournament. The 17-year-old’s life goals include going pro, starting an apprenticeship, and getting her driving license.
