holding myself and my loved ones. you know who you are. here is the birthday speech i was too afraid to give last night: i have had more milestones in life that i celebrate with you than with my family back home, and have felt fulfilled and loved by each and single one of you. this past year was incredibly hard for me, and i'm grateful for being here, being a part of a community. you're my chosen family and the ones i feel the most vulnerable and open to. i feel alive in more ways thanks to your acceptance, kindness and love.
