Happy first week of spring, y’all! 🌺🌸 🌺🌸 I am fully embracing this fresh new season after my debut visit to Savannah this week. What a glorious, creative city and what a treat it was to explore its quiet, leafy squares with azaleas in bloom. My trip mostly revolved around a cool new hotel I’m writing about called @staybardo ✨ though I used my free time to wander on foot. I’ll never forget all the beautiful historic homes, the old southern trees dripping in Spanish moss, and that childlike feeling that comes with discovering someplace new. One afternoon, I lit candles for my family at The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, rummaged for books at @e.shaver_bookseller and picked up artisan chocolates in the jewel box that is @chocolatbyadamturoni 🍫. I had coffee with my fellow southerner and party planner extraordinaire, Rebecca Gardner of @housesandparties , dined on delicious food @saintbibiana and @commonthreadsav , stopped into the @telfairmuseums and perused treasures @theparismarket where my friend @jamiebeck.co has her books on display 🇫🇷 To be in a city like Savannah — even for just two days — is to be transported in every sense, and I cannot wait to return.
