I’ve been so busy with wedding cakes and the business mentoring, that I’ve only just realised that this is my first week where I’m at home and not baking for customers or on client calls since July 2021! I’ve been so caught up in all the postponed weddings and new bookings that I literally hadn’t processed how non-stop work has been for me. I’ve managed to holiday twice overseas in the last year but both times I was working right up to the departure and also turning on the oven as soon as I got home! . . It’s not an ideal way to run the business and I know the last few years have been anything but the norm, so as of 2023 I will definitely be very selective about the work I take on and the clients I work with. I certainly don’t want to burn out, so January 2023 will be a reset for me as I plan for my life to have a better balance going forwards! 💫 . . Here’s a shot from a beautiful wedding in July.
