... and here is the piece that brought the WEAVE event to life. 🧡 @meghanshimek has created this deeply special roving/weaving that will greet you as you enter VoxBody. Woven with scraps of rope from our old studio, and many lengths of our dearly missed @thejackhammerxl’s rope kit, drawing story and history and memory together into our present. If you knew Jack, you may even recognize the faint smell of patchouli and jute as you walk past this piece. That part won’t last, ephemeral as all of us, but it sure does hit the heart in a profound kind of way. We find the varied shades of jute so beautiful, so familiar! Those more used, more oiled, those lighter- in color and weight. It’s as if they are ropey rain clouds. ☁️ 🌧☁️ we’ll be over here in ALL our feels about this one for a while. 🧡
