Hair loss after COVID is called telogen effluvium. This condition is not unique to COVID, but can be seen in variety of situations including illness, postpartum, and secondary to others medical conditions. It’s due to temporarily shift of hair cycle from growth to shedding. Usually is self reversible. It can take 4-6 months for hair to recover. Minoxidil can help improve rate of hair regrow.
