Aug 17’ #Reminiscing I’ll never forget it. I remember my homeboy @rahim_thedream posting something about living in the moment as if it already exists, claim it like it’s yours. After going to @scaddotedu for 2 years my first attempt at being a full time artist failed. Couldn’t support myself and lost my place. Some friends. Couldn’t really pay to move anything, so I took the things I thought were most important to me. All my art, some shoes and clothes. Didn’t have a phone for a couple months. Stayed with friends while jumping back into studio design. Things got dark. When I felt I was down to nothing I realized my skill level and focus was my most valuable assets. I thank @seanmrush for that jewel. That’ll pull me thru. Archer was going thru it and Summer was trying to figure it out, dealing with some harsh realities in this world at a young age. Facing our challenges. Puzzle pieces. God will show you puzzle pieces. Moments in time that could change your life forever depending on the amount of faith you put in the steps you can’t see. We all weren’t making much money with our separate hustles, but our plans were calculated. Summer and I took turns shooting Archer gas money to slide to Marietta, good lookin for them rides @itsaarcher lol. Cook breakfast during sessions sometimes. My dad’s special pancake recipe. Archer would walk in to @summerwalker spot and go STRAIGHT to the computer to check what Summer left, we would call them “gifts”, like “I wonder if she left us any gifts”, because that’s what they were. That’s what this was. Is. Will always be. Gifts from our lifelines. First time I walked to her computer and heard “Shame”, I cried while video recording it. Soundtrack to my life. Archer’d bring Essie & Lauren thru, dividing his family time. Summer worked 2 full time jobs and stay’d up all night recording. Sacrifice. Family shit. @stixmalone came sat on the floor with us while I took videos, he felt the magic too. Good memories are important. No swanky studios or labels yet. Us, Archer equipment and talks of making a living for the sake of creative freedom. Thank you to everyone who ever laid an eye, heart or ear on us, you all have a hand in this.
