They said life would be over when we had kids... And some people thought we were crazy but we went to @dreamvillefest for the third year but this time with a 5-month-old on my chest and a 4-year-old dancing by our side. And we made some of the most unforgettable memories yet. From late-night snuggles under festival lights to singing our hearts out with friends that are like family, we lived, laughed, danced and proved that joy doesn’t stop when you become a parent. It multiples. 💕 Huge thank you to @saschastone for encouraging us to say yes to Dreamville and showing us that adventure doesn’t have to wait. You helped us create a core memory as a family of 4 🥹 To any new parent who’s afraid the fun is over...it’s not. It just looks a little different (with more snacks and naps), but it’s every bit as magical ✨ Tag a parent to be who needs to hear this 🫶 - adding this thanks to Jackie in my comments - we have financial privilege that does help doing these kinds of adventures and I have the flexibility to work from home or remotely so I understand this could seem unrealistic. And I certainly have days I’m exhausted working multiple jobs often till 3am with a baby that wakes up a lot still (but I am in the comfort of my home) and even though we did have financial insecurity after we lost our life savings we aren’t now and that does make having trips more possible.
