With an extremely heavy heart, I say rest in power to the remarkable Actor Cortez Johnson, 01/07/88 - 06/11/22. Theatre Corner would like to celebrate the life of this Black Man. About 4 years ago this young Brotha was awarded the Craig Noel Actor of the Year Award. For me, one of his most memorable performances in San Diego was the role of Emmett Till in the play “The Ballad of Emmett Till.” A purely natural talent. This is an enormous loss for the theatre world, and his 3 children Anyah, Titus, and Cobus. Please check in on your people... #rip
