⛩Hard to put this experience into words, but I tried my best! This was a memorable day hiking up Haguro mountain, one of the three sacred Dewa Sanzan Mountains in Tsuruoka City, Japan. These mountains are feared and worshipped for their beauty and spiritual energy and said to represent the journey of rebirth and have been sought out by pilgrims and travelers for over 1500 years. We were lucky enough to meet the Yamabushi monks and learned how to cook a dish from their traditional Shojin Ryori cuisine.
