Travel days with the whole family can feel super exhausting so the last thing we want to do when we arrive at our destination is wait around for luggage, not to mention the nightmare it would be if they got delayed or lost so that’s why we are carry-on only family! Here are my best tips if you would also like to travel with carry-on only: 1. Plan every outfit down to the jewelry and shoes. It keeps things minimal and prevents overpacking. 2. We all get 2 pairs of shoes total: we wear the bulkier pair (usually dinner shoes) on the plane and pack either water shoes or sandals. 3. Repeat the travel outfit. Whatever we wear on the flight there is the same outfit we wear home. I’ll either send it to the resort laundry or wash it in the shower and hang to dry. 4. Wear your bulky items. I always wear my bulkiest shoes and layers to the airport to save bag space. 5. Use packing cubes to compress and organize. They don’t just keep things neat, they squeeze everything down so it actually fits. 6. Skip packing sunscreen. We always buy it at the destination since we use the whole can anyway. 7. Keep liquids in mini sizes. I also save jars from mini samples and refill them with my own face creams to avoid bringing full size products. 8. For tropical trips, make swimwear do double duty. Bathing suits and cover ups are our daytime outfits, and I pack one nice dinner outfit each. 9. Keep activities simple. I used to pack a million things and learned they barely get touched. A fully charged iPad and headphones do the trick, we took the iPads away a week before so my kids were extra excited on travel day. 10. Give kids their own backpack. It carries some of their clothes, water shoes, a snack, and a few small things they’re excited about, which keeps their essentials organized and lightens my bag. 11.Don’t forget to drink your electrolytes, staying hydrated will solve everything else🤣 #packwithme #familyvacation #momsoftiktok @Drink LMNT @BÉIS
