On the 12th of October, 2024. I was excited to attend the 4th annual graduation of my mentees from the Female Leadership and Mentorship Academy organized by SWIDA GH in collaboration with the Center for Equity and Equal opportunities, Tamale Technical University (TATU). It was also the Launch of the KASA Project Phase 2 whose theme was :"Unleashing the power within, through Mentorship to end Sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) with funding by Plan International Ghana and the African Women's Development Fund, the venue was the TATU ICT Auditorium. The day started with the arrival of mentors and mentees who were happy and proud to have grown through the mentorship process, gained experiences and ideas from each other and also hoping to pass down knowledge gotten to their peers. As a proud mentor myself, I was happy and excited to see my mentees graduate and become women who have voices, whose self esteems had gradually increased and finally seeing them become confident and self reliant, It was a day of joy and excitement for us all. The joy on my face as I received my first ever citation made me realize.. "I Am WHO I SAY I AM" .. And I will keep being an inspiration and a learner at all times. Special thanks goes to the team at SWIDA GHANA for making this possible and ensuring the future of females in our society is assured.
